Get out your calendar and prepare to have some fun. Festivals galore enliven cities throughout the U.S., and areas surrounding our Taylor Morrison communities celebrate some of the best. Here are a few featured festivals. While you’re in the neighborhood, feel free to drop by our nearby communities.
Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo – March 7-26, 2017. Rodeo Houston is one of the nation’s largest entertainment and livestock exhibitions, with live entertainment, livestock exhibitions and rodeo events.
Bayou City Art Festival – March 24-26, 2017. Produced by Art Colony Association, a non-profit art experience and education organization, the Art Festival in downtown Bayou City showcases local artists.
Texas Renaissance Festival – September 30-November 26, 2017. Perhaps the largest Renaissance celebration in the country, the event features eight themed weekends with 500 costumed performers on 17 stages, and 340 vendors including international food, artisans, merchants and crafts.
Savor Dallas – Mid-March. A food extravaganza with fare by more than 75 restaurants and chefs, 450 wines, 70 spirits and five signature events.
Great Texas Balloon Race – July 28-30, 2017. This world class event attracts the best competitive pilots from around the world. Includes live concerts, Kids Land, arts and crafts vendors and food vendors.

South by Southwest – March 10-19, 2017. This famous music, film and tech festival in downtown captures the innovative spirit of Austin. SXSW draws a crowd of celebrities, emerging tech thought leaders, food trucks, music lovers and characters of all kinds. Check the SXSW site to find out if badges are available. Even if you don’t get into SXSW, you will enjoy the spectacle surrounding the show. And, you’ll want to mark your calendar for 2018.
